One of the runners-up used the photo of Dale Earnhardt's fatal crash. I know it's not as disrespectful as making light of the holocaust or 9/11, but it's still a death of a beloved famous figure. C'mon, really?

The winning entry was pretty good, though.

I feel like they probably just GIS'd "NASCAR crash" and that was the first result that worked. I doubt it was intentional.

It's startling how many people don't recognize that car as Dale Earnhardt's... or even realize that he died.... or even know who he is... http://kotaku.com/awww-come-on-1…
I thought it was common knowledge. Like you can ask anyone on the street who Dale Earnhardt is and 9 out of 10 will tell you he died in a NASCAR crash (and the tenth will at the very least know he was a great driver) but apparently not. Just... Wow.

I didn't know, because I live in Europe, don't follow Nascar and was ten when this thing had happened. So I was pretty shocked when I saw the comments. I mean there is a strong chance that the person that did that was not aware. But if he was, it is very bad taste as others remarked. My friend made a shop of that pic with "YOU SUCK AT THE NASCAR" at the bottom shortly after the crash happened.

I was a HUGE fan of The Intimidator.

But I also have a sick sense of humor, and laughed my ass off.
